During the 8 week program, Bennie will work with the horse on groundwork and riding. The riding portion will include, but not limited to, the woods, roads, arenas, pastures, round pin, and trailering to and from different locations for different environments. Training will also include some cattle work. It should be understood that each horse is unique in mentality, ability, and experience. Consequently, the degree to which the horse progresses through the program depends on the individual. The owner will be required to take a lesson before leaving with the horse. The lesson will last between 1 and 2 hours and will include a demonstration by Bennie showing how the horse has progressed. Bennie will also work one on one with you and your horse teaching exercises both on the ground and under saddle. The date and time of the lesson will be set up and confirmed with you by Masters Quarter Horses. This lesson is required as part of the package and we feel is necessary to continue with your training of the horse when you get home.
It is our goal that your training experience with your horse be a positive one and that you and your horse to continue learning and progressing when you get home. We also recommend that you continue the training with your horse as much as possible during the first few weeks at home. It is imperative that you feed your horse plenty of hay, and work them a great deal during these weeks in order to ensure that your horse’s transition goes as smoothly as possible. If you have any concerns or questions after you go home, please feel free to contact us at any time.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, bad weather, illness, injury, etc., there may be an impact on your horse’s training program. Due to these circumstances, we may require that your horse stay for an extra period of time in which you will not be charged for training but will be required to pay a daily board fee of $6.50. We feel this is a necessary measure in order to ensure that your horse will receive the proper amount of training during its stay at our facility. We therefore ask that you remain as flexible as possible regarding this matter and we thank you in advance for your understanding and you’re complying with these issues.
$400 is due at time the owner brings the horse to Masters Quarter Horses. $400 is due within 30 days of the time of drop off of the horse with the remaining balance and miscellaneous expenses due at time of pickup. Horses will not be released until all expenses are paid in full. The owner grants a possessory lien against the horse in training to Masters Quarter Horses for the value of any unpaid services rendered by Masters Quarter Horses. Should such charges go unpaid Masters Quarter Horses will be entitled to exercise the right to enforce this lien according to the laws of the state. Owners and Masters Quarter Horses if agreeable can terminate the training agreement with the owners paying Masters Quarter Horses for all training fees and expenses incurred up to the termination date. After all fees have been paid in full the agreement would be concluded.
